The Viscount-class is the sixth largest of the "new line" of merchant vessels produced by the Valkoria Consortium. The Viscount-class is classified as a Heavy freighter. It has top-of-the-line merchant shipping facilities, as well as strong offensive and defensive combat packages.

The Viscount-class features the bulky body and huge cargo hulls found on standard cargo hauling vessels, while at the same time boasts of Federation-designed propulsion systems, computer systems, and bridge designs - an engineering innovation initiated by former Starfleet engineers who are now with the Valkoria Merchant Fleet.
The front of the ship is dedicated to the command section, which includes the bridge, sickbay, crew quarters and passengers quarters, common areas, most sensors, a modest armory, and a shuttlebay for various auxiliary craft. The cargo section is mostly uninhabitable. The engineering section, warp core, antimatter storage and a backup control room are located in the aft section, as well as two loading ports, the impulse engines, and storage compartments for various materials for the ship's operation, as well as additional cargo. The deuterium is stored in the ship's mid section, between the cargo decks.

The Viscount-class is 150 meters long, 91 meters wide, and 32 meters high. It has two (2) crew decks and two (2) huge cargo decks. Each cargo deck can accommodate large compartments measuring 66.5 meters x 44 meters x 20.5 meters each that are latched onto the ship's frame.
This ship class is run by a crew of 30, commanded by a Commander of the merchant fleet. 5 of the crew are officers, while 25 are enlisted.
Onboard tactical systems[]
The class is protected by standard design Federation deflector shields. It also has an arsenal of four Type-IX phaser arrays and two (2) torpedo launchers, with a total payload of twenty-five (25) high yield photon torpedoes.
