I am away at present, I will check back on here occasionally. Not sure which other admins are around. As soon as I'm back there will be a large "revamp" of the site, mainly with rules and looking at old articles. Happy creating! DaveSubspace Message 16:24, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] About Me
Hello <insert name here>! Welcome to my user page. I am a major contributor to Memory Gamma, as well as being one of four administrators, and very happy to be part of the community here.
My username is just used on most things these days, but for the record by real name is Dave. I'm 21 years old, and I live in Macclesfield. You'll see the Britishness come through in my spellings - I was on Memory Alpha and they said everything has to be in American English, because Star Trek is an American production... even though English is originally our language. That's a long debate for another time (or never, if you can't be bothered like me). On here I'll be British as it's fan fiction and no-one's going to nitpick. I hope.
I am also a Christian, an avid supporter of Cheltenham Town FC, a guitar player, a music lover, a French and Spanish student, a partial speaker of Klingon and Vulcan language... oh yeah, did I mention I loved Star Trek? }}}:D
My story is Star Trek: Pioneer, set in the late 26th century. I'd like to keep to canon as much as possible, but I have to not include the events of Trek XI, especially the destruction of that planet (not Federation).
I took part in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), in an attempt to write a Trek novel of 50,000 words. I only made it to 12,000 on deadline day, but I had been quite busy. As of 23 June 2009, I have completed 20,000 words, and the story is really beginning to take shape.
I'm most looking forward to writing about the mirror universe, as soon as I thought about creating a story on it, I was grinning maliciously for a while...
So,

[edit] Quotes I like
- "If at first you don't succeed, it must be someone else's fault. Find them. Blame them. Make them pay."
- Anon
- "Vogons are one of the most unpleasant races in the galaxy. Not evil, but bad-tempered, bureaucratic, officious and callous. They wouldn't even lift a finger to save their own grandmothers from the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal without orders signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public inquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters. On no account should you allow a Vogon to read poetry to you."
- The Book, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
- "It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends."
- Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
- "..could you let me have twelve dollars until payday?"
- "Twelve dollars?"
- "Don't be scared, you'll get it back. I'll give you my personal note for ninety days. If it isn't paid by then, you can... keep the note."
- Rufus T. Firefly and Ambassador Trentino, Duck Soup
- "You can't always get what you want
- But if you try sometimes well you might find
- You get what you need"
