The USS Tau-B was a Federation Excelsior-class starship in service in the 24th century, and the direct successor of the USS Tau-A, under the command of Captain Vickardt van Grottus. In the most time patrolled the ship on the Romulan Neutral Zone and escort other space crafts for Romulans descents. But the primary duty was to scan permanent the neighbor sectors for all strange occurrence.
Disappearance[]
In 2356, long range scans detected a gargantuan anomaly in the Jarrosh system. Five hours later, the USS Tau arrived and detected a shift of dimension where the remains of Jarrosh III were. The anomaly was so powerful that it destroyed the entire planet. The anomaly enclosed the Tau and pulled it into another universe.
Thirteen years later, the USS Tau-C investigated the Jarrosh system , but are unable to find any manifestations for the unnatural anomaly or gate in the unknown universe.
