The Wrong Reflection is a Star Trek Online fanfic by StarSword, and a novelization of the Cryptic mission "The Other Side".
Kanril Eleya, the Bajoran firebrand in command of the USS Bajor, is on her last days of light duty after sustaining slight brain damage in an Undine encounter. She's attending the wedding of her younger sister Teran when Fleet Admiral William T. Riker calls her into action to assist with a series of raids by the Terran Empire.
This story takes place chronologically after Reality Is Fluid.
Canon liberties[]
In addition to taking the same liberties as Bait and Switch, this fic makes the following changes to STO-canon:
- "The Other Side" is shifted chronologically to take place after "Surface Tension" and the Federation-Klingon armistice.
- The player character's interaction with the Prophets in "Crack in the Mirror" is changed to an Orb experience and moved into the preparation period for "The Other Side".
