The Human race referred to this star simply as "the Sun".

Added by Bookworm1138Luna is the name of the sole moon orbiting Earth, the third planet in the Sol system. The Human race referred to Luna as "the Moon" for many centuries.
The first men landed on the moon in July 1969.
The moon was colonized in the late 21st century. Mining operations took place at this time. Two of the well-known cities were Tycho City and New Berlin.

Mars (or Sol IV) is the fourth planet in the Sol system. It was named after the Roman God of War, due to its rusty surface appearance. Mars also has two asteroidic-moons named Phobos and Deimos, which mean "fear" and "terror" respectively.
In the 26th century, Mars was terraformed by the GITR. The Terraformation took seventy-eight years to complete.

Deimos

Added by Bookworm1138Deimos is the outer-most moon of the planet Mars in the Sol system.
In a parallel universe where Mars was the sight of the creation of human life, Deimos was the location of the Martian Defense Grid, due to its being the outermost moon of the planet.

Jupiter (or Sol V) is the fifth planet from Sol, in the Sol system, located in Sector 001. The planet's classification is class-J.
The infamous Jupiter Station is located in orbit.

Uranus (or Sol VII) is the seventh planet in the Sol system, located in Sector 001. The planet has rings, which are very difficult to see, plus several moons.
An interesting fact about Uranus is that the planet's axis of rotation lies on its side with respect to the plane of the Solar System, with an axial tilt of 97.77 degrees.

Pluto

Pluto (or Sol IX) is the ninth planet in the Sol system, located in Sector 001. Its status has changed several times from being a normal planet to a dwarf planet, but it is commonly known in the Federation as a normal planet.In mid-2380 Pluto and its moons were absorbed by a Borg Cube en route to attack Earth.
