The Mark 51B Pulse Carbine (Mk 51 PC) was a plasma-based directed-energy assault carbine that was produced by the Starfleet Engineering Corps and used within the Starfleet Marine Corps. A carbine variant of the even more popular Mark 51 Pulse Rifle, it was fielded by Starfleet from the mid-2380s until the late-2410s.
