In the mirror universe, Keiko Ishikawa was a female Terran operative of Memory Omega and she became a slave and eventually a overseer on the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance mining colony of Korvat.

Slavery to the Alliance

Keiko Ishakawa was presented as a gift to Deanna Troi, Intendant of Betazed. Ishakawa later led a revolt aboard a Pakled slave ship, and led a hundred former Alliance slaves to Terok Nor, where they all joined the Terran Rebellion.

Terran Rebellion

Keiko struck up a romantic relationship with the Rebellion's leader, General Miles "Smiley" O'Brien, who in turn began to trust her more and made her his second-in-command, with the rank of commander. This move was frowned upon by other rebel leaders, such as Generals Zek and Julian Bashir, and hurt O'Brien's standing in the organization. With the deaths of most of the Rebellion's leaders and capture of Zek and Bashir at Empok Nor, Keiko found herself increasingly relied on by the Rebellion's new leadership.

Contributions to the Alliance

She helped expose Sito Jaxa as an Alliance spy, then disintegrated her for trying to kill O'Brien and General Michael Eddington. In the later aftermath of the disaster at Empok Nor, Keiko and Eddington helped restore O'Brien's hope and convinced him to continue leading the Rebels to their imminent victory over the Alliance.

Rise of the New Terran Empire

In 2385, the New Terran Empire extended the hand of friendship to their brothers in the Terran Rebellion. Keiko believed, as "Smiley" did, that the Empire would replace one tyrant with another, and therefore advocated independence and, in the end, resistance against the new empire and the threat it posed.
