The ISS Enterprise (Imperial registry: NCC-1701) is one of the most legendary warships in Terran Imperial history. Within its central 5 year mission, the Enterprise has conquered several alien species (including at least 10 energy-based races) and expanded the territory of the Terran Empire by well over 100 parsecs and opened further exploration by discovering a wormhole within the Bajoran solar system in the Alpha Quadrant.

Ships history[]

The Enterprise was the second Imperial Constitution heavy war cruiser ever constructed. The ship (as was all imperial ships within that era not including Blade series ships) was based on a basic Constitution-class frame and then heavily refitted with massive military offensive capabilities.

Service under Pike[]

Service under Kirk[]

A young Commander James T. Kirk who was originally the ships Executive officer seized control of the Enterprise in 2265 after assassinating Pike with an alien device which was conjecturally theorized may have been either leftover from the reign of Philippa Georgiou or alien black market purchased technology known as the Tantalus field. Kirk killed him as both a typical action of "advancement" within Imperial naval politics and resentment towards Pike for so easily capitulating to Empress Georgiou instead of resisting her to show loyalty to the deposed Empress Sato.

However, due to Sato's perception of Pike's betrayal and by proxy is also the fault of the crew, so upon her return to power she "punishes" them by retrofitting the Enterprise back to its pre-Georgiou era upgrade and leaves it at a technical level when it was first built.

The ship appears not visually any different than when it was shakedown launched. Although it was left with its updated cannons, internal defenses, and shields due to obvious military practicality. Although the shame of having to make do with such a technically older ship regardless of the situation was obvious to Kirk regardless of his genuine pledge of loyalty to the returning Empress.

One of Kirk's first actions as captain was to quell the uprising of the Gorlan people who wished to secede from the Empire and become part of the remnants of the Klingon Empire which while the Qo'noS of that reality was destroyed, its remaining government was still a major faction of the rebellion against Terran rule. Kirk succeeded in stopping the rebellion by deploying the entirety of the Enterprise's weapons to full, completely destroying the planet's surface.

In 2266 the Enterprise encounters the ship Fesarius which seems far more advanced and after creating a ruse to seem more peaceful nearly destroys the ship. After retrieving the ship's flight and historical data the Empire by proxy learns of the existence of the "First Federation" a centuries-older species alliance deep within the Beta Quadrant. And while having technology nearly that of some Borg ships, the Enterprise after debrief leads a vanguard of advanced Hou-Yi and Walker class ships to take the planetary sector.

Later in the year, the Enterprise neutralizes a rebel Romulan Bird of Prey that was trying to destroy Imperial defense bases along the Demilitarized Zone next to the remainder of Romulan space with a mass drive Plasma weapon. Fully utilizing a Plasmatic filter from Walker ships and expert tactical maneuvering, the Enterprise disables the enemy ship. During the attack, Kirk sneaks off the ship via shuttlecraft and returns with another assault fleet accompanied and reinforced by Imperial Shield ships and as such leads a massive counterassault against the small Romulan rescue fleet for its comrade craft. This event begins the 2nd Terran Imperial/Romulan War.

The War rages on for decades nearly until the mid-2270s and nearly brings the Romulan species into extinction.

For months onwards with Spock as XO and Tactical officer leads or assists Kirk and the Enterprise crew to several off-record "missions" that were considered typical of corrupt or self-serving Imperial governmental behavior. The Enterprise leads actions of ship Piracy, elaborate theft, or bribery of planetary officials across the Alpha Quadrant.

This also included a successful alliance between the Empire with the Criminal syndicates of Sigma Iotia II. This historical summit included the planet's most prominent organized crime figures such as Bela Okmyx, Jojo Krako, and Junior Oxstyx. Through both shrewd negotiation and shows of force, Kirk manages to land a deal with the Iotians that they give 40% of their planet's gross domestic product and in return, they'll be given (at a reduced damage output) Phaser rifles and photon munitions to ensure their power.

The summit and its success is one of the largest Black market-based alliances in Imperial history.

These actions lead Spock to be one of the most well-respected members of the crew, This well-granted respect gives him perks such as his own personal guard, the ability to gather his own inner circle of crew members, and unknown to central Imperial oversight gave Spock the ability to give or grant fellow Vulcan crewmembers more duty and rank agency than ever before for a non-protected class and species even then under the reign of past more "progressive" monarchs of decades previous.

In 2267 the Enterprise handles another colonial rebellion on Vega IX by Kirk ordering the public execution of 5,000 colonists as a show of Imperial force. Later the Enterprise also leads the annexation of Hysperia and Elysia to prevent them from selling Hadron-based weapons to the Klingon imperial remnant to upgrade their remaining fleet and to force the upgrade of Terran ships to include disruptor based systems.

The Enterprise later visits Argelius II where Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott is suspected of several murders, however, Kirk protects his engineer from the authorities there by bribing the authorities and threatening several witnesses, Afterwards the ship departs Argelius. Later it was discovered that Scott was physically being controlled by an interdimensional being named Redjac which committed the crimes and believed the crew of the Enterprise wouldn't be able to stop it.

However, the being underestimated the brutality and perseverance of the Imperial crew. After nearly killing Scott and capturing the energy being in an antimatter chamber. Redjac was sent back to Imperial researchers to see if the creature could be converted into either a weapon or a form of soldier augmentation.

The Enterprise later intercepts a distress signal of a ship attacked by a massively large alien drone which Commodore Matthew Decker names "The Planet Killer" within the L-370s sector. The Drone is nearly indestructible, but as with the Romulan attack earlier, Kirk orders their own assault drones, filled with antimatter-based explosives to fly into the Killers "maw" and destroy it from within. The remains of the drone are examined and the Krieger wave based weapons and propulsion of the device expands Imperial heavy weapons research near to that of the 2250s.

However, this leads to a lifelong rivalry between Kirk and Decker that lasts the rest of their lives as each man believes that the other stole part of the credit for the discovery of the device.

By October of that year, the Enterprise was ordered to Halka II to finalize the compliance and conversion of the planet and native society into a mining territory which for older ships was a routine mission. The planet governors initially refuse and upon Kirk and his accompanying Away team returning to the ship to consider military measures to persuade the Halkan government they become caught in an Ion storm mid-transport that through accidental atomic interaction enter Starfleet space while their Prime universe counterparts materialize on this Enterprise.

For a short while the Starfleet duplicates feign that they are the original crewmembers trying to escape back to their reality as the quantum conditions to allow for interspacial transport was temporary and would strand both away teams in their displaced dimensions. Finally managing to reach the Transporter Spock intercepts them and after an impassioned plea by the alternate Kirk to try and reform the Empire as its moral decline was leading to its inevitable collapse. Spock promises he would consider it and returns both teams to their home universes.

This incident has impacts that over time lasts centuries and massively reforms the political landscape of the galaxy of this universe irrevocably. Upon the return of the original Kirk, Spock feigns loyalty to his commanding officer and convinces him to resolve the issue with the Halkans via non-military means that would give far more profit than crude threats, and in secret begins a massive reformation of the Empire with only his inner circle aware of his true plans.

By the end of the year, the Enterprise is ordered to act as escort for Imperial electronics researcher Richard Daystrom for a field test run of the M-5 multitronic unit a full AI-based ship control and command system that if successful could replace large portions of Imperial ship crews including its command officers. Upon realizing this Kirk orders Engineer Scott and most of the Enterprises engineering division to sabotage the M-5s processing capability which makes the automated ISS Excalibur "intentionally" assault the Enterprise and destroy several civilian freighter ships.

Kirk uses the "attack" as an excuse to denounce Daystrom to Imperial command in revenge for trying to replace him with an automated system. Kirk reports Grand Admiral Garth of Izar as well as being complicit in the event due to being the military supervisor of the M-5 Project, and an attempt to assassinate him. In retaliation to the accusation, Garth tries to ambush the Enterprise with a small stealth squad near Elba II however due to expert maneuvering the Enterprise counters and destroys its attackers.

After hearing the charges laid by Kirk and the perception of evidence of guilt by Garth ordering the attack. Imperial security arrests Daystrom and either captures or executes all involved in the M-5 project. Ending with Garth's public execution.

In 2268 The Enterprise intercepts another alien rebellion attack by smaller member species the Gorn on the Imperial colony Cestus III. Fortunately, the Gorn vessel was tactically superior to the older in-design Imperial ship, and after managing to deliver a severe blow to the Enterprise, the enemy ship escapes. Returning to Imperial space, upon report of the incident the Empire declares war on the Hegemony.

And unlike their Prime universe counterparts, the Gorn of this reality never had the advantage of Xenomorph based genetic enhancement or Xenobotics ship design or upgrades. And so they were conquered quickly and the remainder of the species were enslaved at a record rate far higher than in the pre-Sato era.

A few months later, the Enterprise was dispatched to Janus VI to ascertain why strip mining production from the mines had been down lately. Kirk and his landing parties then helped in the decimation of the Horta species by destroying the Mother Horta and all of her eggs.

Nearly by the end of the year, The Enterprise is called to the Romulan war front to capture and collect second-generation prototype Cloaking technology from repurposed Klingon ships gifted to the Romulans. The Enterprise manages to capture a Romulan ship commanded by Liviana Charvanek upon which her entire crew is executed and she is brutally assaulted.

This incident is the turning point for Spock as his emergency plans are enacted. Spock tries to reason with Kirk to be more lenient towards the Romulan commander, but Kirk is unbending in his orders. Upon realizing his commanding officer is beyond reasoning, Spock activates a secret panel that activates the Tantalus field which Spock had in secret engineered to allow him full control as well without letting Kirk know he had any power over the device.

Spock threatens Kirk by disintegrating several of his personal guards making him believe that he will be next. This saves Commander Charvanek and allows Spock by force to have more authority on the ship. Kirk agrees to a compromise of allowing the Commander to escape the ship and give Kirk full credit for the "discovery" of the stealth device.
